- First select your base card. I used an A4 piece of brown pearlised card, cut in half (A5).
- Cut a strip of the striped paper from the Delicious Range of papers (found in the free printable section of www.perkypigs.com) Fix it onto the front of the card using double sided sticky tape. I always overlap the folded edge of the card with the paper and fix it to the back to give a nice professional looking finish. The paper edge can then be hidden using a border peel-off.
- Returning to the front of the card, edge a few of the stripes using border peel offs.
- Cut out (using a large punch) 3 squares from the Delicious dotty paper, and 1 square from the matching floral design. Edge these with peel-off border stickers.
- Using double sided tape fix one of the dotty squares to the top of the card and, leaving a gap, attach another below it. Place the third square on the diagonal, creating a diamond-like shape. Position it wherever it pleases your eye. It is always a good idea to play about with layouts before removing the sticky tape backing paper, that way you get a good idea what works and what doesn’t before commiting yourself.
- Attach raised sticky-pads onto the back of the floral square, and fix squarely onto the diamond shape, showing the corners beneath it. The sticky-pads give a raised 3-D effect to the card.
- Using paint shop pro or similar software, make a “Wishing you well” tag to co-ordinate with the design, and a house tag using the square and triangle tool. Use the dropper tool on PSP to ensure the colours match perfectly. Edge both of these with the border peel-offs as before. (You can of course have whichever wording and design you choose to suit your chosen occasion.)
- Attach the tags to the card using small raised sticky-pads.
- Sit back, admire, and give yourself a pat on the back!
